At Arthur Terry School we offer students a variety of options to engage in further study in Physical Education. 


We offer GCSE Physical Education (Edexcel Specification) at Key Stage 4. Students opting to study GCSE Physical Education will start the course at the beginning of Year 9 and complete at the end of Year 11.  

The GCSE Course is assessed in the following ways:

- 60% Practical (12% weighting for 4 sports and 12% for the coursework task). 

- 40% Theory - Assessed via an 80 mark examination in the final year of the course. The exam encompasses a host of different theoretical aspects of Sport, as shown in the unit overview below...
